Today you’re going to learn EXACTLY how you can overcome challenges in your mental health.
In fact, in this video, you will hear author and speaker Vikie Shanks share some of her own personal story with mental health along with how she was able to overcome obstacles that life brought her way.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
Vikie has been through many trials throughout her life. She was sexually abused as a child, lost her mother at sixteen years old, suffered a mental breakdown at nineteen, had a husband who struggled with mental health and eventually committed suicide, and has helped her seven children cope with struggles from cerebral palsy and autism to eating disorders and depression.
Yet she has remained optimistic through it all. Her ability to overcome adversity makes her an inspiration we can all learn from. Sometimes when overcoming challenges we have to focus on one minute at a time. One of the tips that Vikie explains during our conversation is the importance of finding the thing or person that is your motivation to keep going.
She draws from her own experience to empathize with others in their trials. She also offers up some sound advice throughout our conversation that’s beneficial for anyone in the midst of a mental health struggle. And having been on both sides – being through trials and helping others through them – she has some wise words about being honest with those who are supporting you, both when you are doing well and when you aren’t.
In short, this video will show you actionable ways to overcome challenges in 2019.

Today you’re going to learn EXACTLY how to use The Money Game as an icebreaker for your team-building activities (step by step).
In fact, in this video, I’m going to show you a time when I used this as an icebreaker in one of my corporate team-building events.
With that, here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
Let’s be honest, a lot of people hate the icebreaker activities that come before a team-building event. And a lot of the reason is because the icebreaker games that are used have been overdone. So your team has played it before and they aren’t interested in doing it again.
However, many haven’t played The Money Game before. And even if they have, it’s a quick, simple, and fun activity that gets people connecting with those around them. That’s what you want. You want people to be laughing and engage in your activities. Otherwise you have simply wasted your time and theirs.
Icebreakers are important to events because they help the audience get comfortable in the setting they are in and with those around them. If the audience doesn’t know each other well, it’s a way to get them talking and remove the awkwardness of the situation. But for an icebreaker to be effective, it has to get the audience to engage, think, talk, and want to hear what’s coming next in the presentation.
Whether you are looking for icebreakers for adults or icebreakers for teens and children, this is an effective and fun team-building activity to use.
In short, this video will show you actionable ways to benefit from using The Money Game as an icebreaker in 2019.

Youth & Children’s Mental Health Speaker: ANGRY CHILD OUTBURSTS!

http://www.TransformingStigma.com In this video, mental health speaker Mike Veny answers questions about being a child and having angry outbursts. He reminds us that sometimes, their is NOTHING that you can do for someone when they are in a bad place. However, a long term commitment to therapy is essential for helping youth and children in crisis.
When it comes to children’s mental health, more services, especially support systems of care, are available than ever before, but children still aren’t getting all the help that they need. More effort still needs to be put forth regarding children’s mental health awareness.
According to that National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 4 million youth struggle with serious mental health challenges that increase problems at home, school, with peers, and overall development. 21 percent of children between the ages of 9 and 17 have a diagnosable mental health or addictive challenge that will cause them difficulties at some level. Of that 21 percent, only 4 percent get help. Left untreated, these mental health issues become significantly worse as children get older.
50 percent of the lifetime cases of mental health challenges begin by age 14. Regardless of effective treatment, people wait a long time (many years) between the first sign of a problem and when they receive treatment. Sometimes this is due to stigma. Sometimes this is due to a lack of resources. Sometimes it’s a combination of the two.
Mike Veny is a youth and children’s mental health speaker who speaks at conferences and events throughout the world to raise awareness about children’s mental health. He’s extremely passionate about speaking at events during children’s mental health awareness week (and month). He enjoys helping young people who were like him. Growing up is tough. Growing up with additional challenges is even tougher.
