Today you’re going to learn EXACTLY how you can overcome challenges in your mental health.
In fact, in this video, you will hear author and speaker Vikie Shanks share some of her own personal story with mental health along with how she was able to overcome obstacles that life brought her way.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
Vikie has been through many trials throughout her life. She was sexually abused as a child, lost her mother at sixteen years old, suffered a mental breakdown at nineteen, had a husband who struggled with mental health and eventually committed suicide, and has helped her seven children cope with struggles from cerebral palsy and autism to eating disorders and depression.
Yet she has remained optimistic through it all. Her ability to overcome adversity makes her an inspiration we can all learn from. Sometimes when overcoming challenges we have to focus on one minute at a time. One of the tips that Vikie explains during our conversation is the importance of finding the thing or person that is your motivation to keep going.
She draws from her own experience to empathize with others in their trials. She also offers up some sound advice throughout our conversation that’s beneficial for anyone in the midst of a mental health struggle. And having been on both sides – being through trials and helping others through them – she has some wise words about being honest with those who are supporting you, both when you are doing well and when you aren’t.
In short, this video will show you actionable ways to overcome challenges in 2019.
