http://www.TransformingStigma.Com Mike Veny is a hard worker, trouble maker and mental health speaker. His personal history with mental health issues is the inspiration for his work as a children’s mental health speaker, and gives him greater insight into what it takes to overcome some of the biggest hurdles life throws at us.
Mike is passionate about helping leaders connect with the truth about mental health. The hard truths, not just the stereotypes. From anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder to anger, Mike shares his powerful understanding of what it feels like to not be able to connect with other people through his work as a children’s mental health speaker.
Through Transforming Stigma, Mike works hard to alter the way that professionals and health care workers view children who are struggling with mental health issues. Instead of stigmatizing them as “bad seeds” Mike believes it is time to transform the way we view those who suffer from mental health disorders.
Today, Mike Veny has shared his insights and his empowering talks with some of the biggest names in the health care industry. Some of his current clients include Family & Children’s Association, Florida Council of Community Mental Health, Florida Alcohol and Drug Use Association and the Pennsylvania Mental Health Consumer’s Association.
In addition to the powerful message he imparts, Mike exudes charm and personality that inspires his listeners to take action to transform their own stigma surrounding mental health. Being young and struggling with depression and anxiety is a lot to take on. However, by giving a child a safe and loving environment they can thrive no matter what they are experiencing.
Mike’s work as a mental health speaker has enriched hundreds of conferences around the world, and has won him several national television spots as well. If you are looking for a speaker for your upcoming event, consider contacting Mike. He is guaranteed to inspire and engage your audience.

Shielding Your Body from Stress with a Morning Plan
Shielding your body from stress.
Having a morning routine for stress or morning routine for depression can be a really effective strategy for coping with stress.
There are a lot of stressful things that can come up in a day. If you just allow yourself to go through the day, you may start to feel the impact of stress in your life and on your body. Feeling stressed out or anxious, can leave you with all kinds of mental health and physical health challenges. This is why it’s important to put a morning plan in place.
In this video, I give a brief example of how my morning routine helps me shield myself from the stress of the day.
A morning plan allows you to know exactly how you’re going to start your day no matter what else happens to pop up at the moment. It helps you learn how to deal with anxiety and can change the stress reaction that you have throughout the day. A morning routine is part of a healthy lifestyle.

Today you’re going to learn EXACTLY what I think is contributing to the mental health challenges facing teenagers (and adults) that many people are overlooking.
In fact, in this video, I’m going to show you a practical step you can take to improve your mental health that is so easy ANYONE can do it.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
The statistics are being discussed all over the place. The number of teens dealing with mental health challenges is continuing to rise. There is talk about bullying and suicide and people are searching for an answer. There are plenty of theories out there in the world including too much time on the phone and social media. But I have my own theory—it all started with air conditioning.
We live comfortable lives with many conveniences, like air conditioning that made it possible for us to not need to go outside of our homes even during hot summer months. Before that happened it was hot inside, which pushed people outside where they came face-to-face with neighbors and friends. Now cell phone use allows us to go about our lives without really connecting with other people face-to-face. We have our friendships over social media and the number of people working from home is increasing.
And it’s not just in our homes. Even when we are with people we aren’t looking at them and conversing with them. Cell phone use at school and cell phone use at work is stealing away the time when we should be having these face-to-face connections. How many times have you been at a restaurant and noticed groups sitting at the table together but everyone was looking down at a phone? It’s an epidemic that we need to change so we can improve our mental health awareness.
In short, this video will show you an actionable way to control cell phone use and connect with others to improve mental health in 2019.
