Mental Health Quotes: Be GENTLE With Yourself (TRUE STORY) [2023]
https://lovelyrefinement.com/15-mental-health-quotes-that-make-you-feel-less-alone Mental health quotes can help you feel peace of mind if you’re struggling or they might help you understand someone else’s mental health struggles. In this video, Mike Veny analyzes the mental health quote, “Be gentle with yourself. You’re doing the best you can.”
This mental health quote comes from Lovely Refinement, a women’s mental health site. More mental health quotes can be found on there by clicking the link above.
So what is gentle? Mike believes that it’s important to define that first.
He then discusses self-talk, specifically positive self-talk, from the perspective of the book, What To Say When You Talk To Yourself By Shad Helmstetter.
Mike Veny is a corporate wellness consultant who’s company, Mike Veny, Inc., produces mental health courses. His company also owns Lovely Refinement, a women’s mental health site.

Today you’re going to learn EXACTLY how you can quickly begin to improve your mental health with self-care as a middle school or high school student (step by step).
In fact, in this video, I’m going to share with you 3 actionable things that you can start doing today that will help you reduce and control the stress in your life.
With that, here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
Too often there are news headlines that show that America’s youth are struggling with mental health. From suicides to school shootings, we can see the proof that students are struggling. And even though I’m an adult, I get it because I struggled with my own mental health throughout my childhood and teenage years.
Now as a mental health speaker, I enjoy getting to travel the country and talk about school mental health with middle school and high school students. One of the things that I like to do is share self-care tips with students. A lot of students don’t realize they are experiencing problems with their mental health because they call it “stress” instead.
The three tips I share in this video are great ways to start self-care for students:
Get yourself up in the morning
Do a mind sweep throughout the day
Three self-care questions to ask yourself
When you learn how to include these three things in your day, it can help you start to control and manage stress and improve your mental health. Whether you’re looking for self-care for middle schoolers or self-care activities for high school students, this is a great place to get started.
These tips won’t take your depression away, but they can help you learn to make your depression more manageable.
Leave information on hotlines and free resources to reach out to if you’re having a rough time.
In short, this video will show you actionable ways you can reduce stress and mental health challenges by improving your self-care in 2019.

Becoming a Paid Speaker: Creating an Opening for Your Presentation
Today you’re going to get a behind the scenes look at me working with my speaking coach, Paul Kreiter. If you want to know how to become a public speaker, this series is for you!
In fact, in this video, you’ll hear the exact advice that he gives me on how to create a strong opening for my mental health keynote presentations.
With that, here’s a quick overview of what’s in the video:
You’re going to see why I find it beneficial to work with a public speaking coach while building a career as a motivational speaker. It’s easy to get caught in a rut and you don’t want to give the same old presentation every time.
Paul shares important public speaking tips on the importance of being intentional and using the opening to set the foundation for the rest of your presentation. He explains just how to do it and helps me apply it to one of the mental health keynote presentations.
However, it’s not a one-size-fits-all plan, so Paul shares more about the importance of taking your audience into consideration as you prepare for your presentation. He even gives some important tips on what you can use as that crucial first bite.
In short, this video will show you actionable ways that you can improve the opening of your presentations in 2020.

What is Integrative Nutrition and Does it Work? [ACTIONABLE]
• What is Integrative Nutrition and Does it Work?
Mental health is a component of your overall mental health. In order to focus on improving your mental health, it’s important to look at your physical health including your nutrition. I sat down with Jane K Dye, RN who is a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach, to discuss the idea of integrative nutrition and its impact on our physical and mental health.
In this video, Jane and I discuss:
• What integrative nutrition is and the holistic approach of addressing our health.
• The impact that every area of our life—including things like career, relationships, and spirituality—can have on our health and wellness along with its impact on what we eat.
• How integrative nutrition helps prevent disease, achieve goals and supports an overal healthier lifestyle
• The fact that we each have unique food and lifestyle needs
• That nutrition should be about what you get to have and not what you don’t get to have (the approach that many diets take).
• Where cravings come from and what they are trying to tell you
• The concept of “food freedom” and how you should have a wonderful experience eating
• Importance of having awareness around what you do when you eat
Jane shares that nutrition should be easy, fun, and sustainable. She also shares the ONE THING you should be focused on to start living healthier this year.
